Example of a Farm House Pattern Language (農舍的模式語言)

A pattern language is a system that allows its users to create an infinite variety of those three dimensional combinations of patterns that we call buildings, gardens, towns.

Here is the outline of a pattern language for a farm-house in the Bernese Oberland. 

North south axis
West facing entrance down the slope
Two floors
Hay loft at the back
Bedrooms in front
Garden to the South
Pitched roof
Half-hipped end
Balcony toward the garden
Carved ornaments
