BuddyVision

V-Mail

- This feature is identical to the one from iSpQ.

- Allows for a snapshot from your webcam to be added to text and sent as an e-mail to the recipient. This e-mail is in the form of an html document and is therefore viewable by any machine with a web browser.

- The resolution is 160 x 120

- A major plus is that BuddyVision allows you to send this e-mail directly from AIM so that there is not need to pull up another e-mail application.

BuddyIcon

- AIM allows for each handle(person) to have a BuddyIcon on there chat window. This is personalized to each user.

- BuddyIcon allows for you to take a snapshot from the webcam and use this as your Icon. Previously the size of the picture was limited by AIM, but now it apparently is not. Each picture was several Kilobytes and no problems occurred.

- One interesting feature that was not announced or described on BuddyVision website is that you are able to change your Icon whenever you would like. With a little scripting a mini-stream of snapshots can be sent via the BuddyIcon.

    - This is very nice because a direct connection is not required and security is not really an issue.
