- VideoChat is the next step after VIM. It allows for video streaming between different clients.
- The webpage says that multiple Peer-to-Peer connections are possible in order to provide VideoConferencing, however the single Peer-to-Peer streaming only seemed to work.
- The video is 160 x 120 and was very fluid and clear on a 768 kilobit connection. Though on a 56 kilobit dial-up it bogged down the system and the frame-rate needed to be decreased.
-Used with AIM talk which is a derivative of the direct connection.
- All users must have BuddyVision in order to use this feature, however not all users need to have a webcam.
