Design procedure:

1. Open Microsoft Media Author.

2. Create a New Project.

3. The better way is saving it when created. The default path will set to the folder which the .asf file located. it will make things easier when the user try to insert other files later.

3. Set bit rate, either 28.8 kbs or 56 kbs. Usually the lower bandwith is better choice because it will not cause problem when converting lower bandwidth design to higher bandwidth design (explain later).

4. Set total time length.

5. Set player size. It will be the size of media player in the browser.

6. Insert media Files.

7. Arrange the media files in the Gantt Bar (the design window on the bottom).

8. Add other items, like URL, caption, custom script, and marker.

9. Preview media, preview converted media, publish project and preview the project.
