Overview

A key factor for the success of distance and online learning is the support of social aspects of learning.

Thus, it is neccessary for support to exist for cooperative learning and joint working sessions [KB01].

Two techniques are popular today [KB01]:

video transmissions with talking head transmissions
shared whiteboards for free drawing or for annotation
