How does AHAM fit in with the Dexter Hypertext Model?

• AHAM focuses on the storage layer just as the Dexter model does
• AHAM also concentrates on anchoring and presentation specifications like the Dexter model
• AHAM, however, extends the Dexter Hypertext Model with hypermedia adaptation based on a user model, a domain model, and teaching model (a.k.a. adaptation model)

Although the AHAM model uses the term teaching model, it does not indicate that this model can only be applied to educational hypermedia systems.
