The Final Word
In summary:
- COM+ has a single, consistent implementation (service packs
allowing) from a single vendor. However, this implementation is limited to a
single platform (Windows 2000). Also, it is too early to judge certain COM+
services, such as the Event Service and Queued Components.
- EJB is available on many platforms and can exploit
long-standing, proven technology to implement its features. However, issues
persist regarding cross-vendor interoperability and porting between platforms
- CORBA Components are still to be proven in the market
