I am a Teaching Assistant and work with Dr. Paulo Ferreira and Matt Barbosa for CS0011: Introduction to Computing for Scientist. I lead two recitation labs, of which I will go over discussed materials in class and also cover some new topics. The course materials and information are posted on Canvas.
Students in these courses will learn how a computer works and how to write programs in order to use the computer as a problem solving tool. A major focus of the class will be on developing problem-solving skills. In particular, this course will focus on problems related to the natural sciences with an emphasis on computational biology.
