Here's another one of those...
Claims to be a cereal, but it's actually
small cookies... They have a picture of a bowl with milk as "serving
suggestion", so they're definitely marketing it as cereal.
BUT,
What kind of cereal has 200 calories in
a 1/2 cup (or 49g) of cereal,
17g of sugar (that is more
than 1/3 of the serving in weight!!!), 13%
of your daily recommended intake of saturated fat????
They are excellent, but definitely not what "we" think cereal should
be!!!
compare to other cereals, like Kellog's FROSTED FLAKES and granola.
yes, i've compared the same amounts of cereal.
Frosted Flakes have 180 calories, 0 fat, and 19g of sugar (even
more!
but they are frosted!).
Homemade granola has 240 calories, 2 g of saturated fat, and 10g
of
sugar. but the sugar
here is actually honey
Quaker's granola has 210 calories, 1.4g of saturated fat, and
13g of
sugar.
hey!!! whatever, it's only food, and we exercise and floss
daily, anyway!!!
my info comes from the box of Trader Joe's Cereal and this cool
site
