PERILS OF DOT-COMS
At the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School,
25 of 765 students dropped out in 1999 after the first
year of the two-year MBA aprogram, most to work for dot-coms.
An early 2000 study for Barron's found that 51 of 207 Internet
companies will run out of money within the next 12 months.
The study also found that 74% of the firms surveyed
have negative cash flows.
