The much-quoted Agenda 21 statement anticipates that by the year 2025, the world's cities will accommodate 60 percent of its population (pp. 147). We can create e-topias - lean, green cities that work smarter, but not harder (pp. 147). We can construct spatially extended smart spaces from collections of interacting smart objects (pp. 42). Architecture is no longer simply the play of masses in light. It now embraces the play of digital information in space (pp.41).
