Content Structure

Content Structure defines a mechanism that can be used to

• aggregate learning resources into a cohesive unit of instruction (e.g., course, chapter, module, etc.)
•  apply structure
• and associate learning taxonomies.

Need of Content Structure--

Within the SCORM, it is the LMS that determines the order (sequence) that content is to be provided to a learner.  That means that the LMS must know how and when a designer intended learning resources to be presented to the learner.  Content Structure, which is located in the organization section of the Content Packaging allows the designer to provide the LMS with this information
