5. Once the user begins chatting, possibly outlining the topics they wish to discuss, the user can Push web content to the other users.

This user would like to look into Pitt's Computer Science department.

Therefore, the user has typed the web address of the department into the Publish Tab’s Main Page text field in order to Push the web page to the students.

 Notice the other text fields present. The Publish panel is capable of pushing three different types of content ( Main , Audio, and Video).

 

 

6. But first the user would like to preview the page and make sure it is appropriate to be Pushed to the classroom.

 

 

7. The user can pose questions to the class and respond via the provided emoticon icons of the classroom. These icons express feelings and emotions. In this instance the user is agreeing that they should have a discussion.

 

* Not shown is the private chat capability of the Teacher Tool. It is similar to the general chat capability of the Tool except that no one can see the message except for the intended recipient.  This feature is accessed via the To: drop down menu*

 

** The user is also capable of delivering their messages in audio via the integrated text to speech agent of the Student Tool. All one must do is check the audio checkbox.**
