Similarity Fusion
Different species of organisms may all make a type
of protein that does a particular function in the body, such as break down
alcohol present in tissues. The protein may do the same function in all
species, but it may be built slightly differently in all of them.
Researchers may be interested in how the sequence that builds the protein
in their organism is different from the sequence of another organism.
Adlets could find other sequences and compare them to the source sequence.
Similarly a researcher might want to compare two geographical maps,
perhaps for two different species.
