What is the Growing Book MAWC tag structure?
- MAWC tags are a set of tags that extend the HTML language that were introduced
in order to facilitate the MATCH, ABSTRACT, WEAVE and CUSTOMIZE operators of the Growing Book.

What is SMIL?
- SMIL is an XML application developed by the World Wide Web Consortium that enables the authoring of interactive multimedia presententations using a text editor. It is used to create presentations that integrate streaming audio and video with images, text, or other media types.

What does this project do?
This project consists of two main parts:
- A translator that takes the Growing Book MAWC tag structure as input and creates
a SMIL presentation from the media objects in the tag structure.
- A translator that takes a SMIL presentation as input and creates a Growing Book MAWC
tag structure from the media objects.
