Example of an Acitve Index System

The Watcher and prefetcher are two index cell types. The instances of Watcher can be associated with individual multimedia documents (such as web pages). Such Watcher is stateful, i.e., it remembers the past and can be used to monitor individual documents. Alternately the Watcher may be stateless so that it can monitor a collection of documents.
