Reporting a New Bug

    When reporting a bug you will be asked for some information:

  • Product - the product the bug occurred in
  • Version - the product version number
  • Component - which component was the bug in
  • General Computer Information - Platform, OS, etc
  • Priority and Severity - just how important is this bug
  • Assign To and CC - who will get this bug report
  • Summary and Description - be VERY specific


    Bug reporting tips:

  • Give as much information as possible
  • Explain how to reproduce the bug
  • The more information that is provided, the easier (and more likely) the bug is to fix
