What's in SCORM?

SCORM is composed of 4 "books":

1. Overview - high-level conceptual information, the history, current status and future direction of ADL and the SCORM and an introduction to key SCORM concepts.

2. Content Aggregation Model (CAM) - how to put learning content together so it can be moved and reused.

3. Run Time Environment (RTE) - how content is launched and the learner's progress is tracked and reported back.

4. Sequencing and Navigation (SN) - how content may be sequenced to the learner through a set of learner-initiated or system-initiated navigation events.
The branching and flow of that content may be described by a predefined set of activities, typically defined at design time (
added in 2004).
