Pattern Browser to Visualise Personal Workflow
- Pattern Browser is an interactive visualisation tool that aims at
helping the user to find valuable spatiotemporal patterns in the situation
space
- Information is presented in the form of abstract, instance and basic
situations
- This hirarchical structure is described using index files in the SIFF
frame work and it's construction is carried out as a batch process on the
interaction history file( Known as Situation history Registry-SHR) using
an algorithm called clustering algorithm.
- SHR contains huge amount of records inserted by SIT agent for every
five seconds and they describe the user activities and contextual
information. One batch of records correspond to one day are stored in
a file given by SHR version number
- Pattern Browser has two components.
1.Map Window
2.Spiral Window.
Map Window:Map Window displays a geogarphic map in three-dimensioanl
visual space.A spiral appears with the boundary indicating the geographic
area it covers when the user clicks certain location on the map.The user
can navigate through 3D space by changing the view point, rotating the
spirals and adjusting the radius etc.
Spiral Window:Spiral window provides the spatiotemporal patterns
for the instance situation by providing the spiral for each instance
situation. It also indicates the basic situations of the given instance
situation by coloured rectangles on the spiral.
