• Techinical Features of Component-Based Systems

                1. Coupling -- inter-relatedness among components

 
          Defined as the extent to which that components is coupled with other components. Low coupling is desired.
          Relationship among components.

      2. Cohesion -- Strength of association among elements within a component

          The extent to which the component contained elements are inter-related. High cohesion is desired.
          Relation inside the component.

      3. Number and Size of Components -- number of components in a system.

          Many small components and a few large components in the component and system design.
