Conclusion

  • Digital watermarking is becoming more and more important with the emergence of the World Wide Web.

  • Given then inherent nature of the data to be watermarked, it is difficult to come up with a good algorithm satisfying all the 'goodness criteria'.

  • Of all the algorithms, suggested, the NEC algorithms is the most robust, but it has a heavy overhead associated with it.

  • Stirmark is able to remove watermarks embedded using current algorithms.

  • Future work will be to find out the class of information hiding functions that obey the constraints imposed and use them to develop more robust algorithms for the future.
