INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

       Auction Server is available for download both as source code and binary. Follow the appropriate link to download the desired format.

 

Source code download:

• Download this zip file for the source code.
• Unzip the files to your local disk.
• Execute the build.bat file in AuctionSourceCode folder to compile the source code.

 

Binary files download:

• Download this zip file for both the server and client binaries.
• Download this zip file for client binaries.
• Unzip the files to your local disk.
• Execute the runServer.bat file to start the AuctionServer.
• Edit this file to change the hostname or the port number, which should be used for the server.
• Execute the runClient.bat file to start the Auction Client.
• Edit this file to specify the server name and port number where the AuctionServer is running.
