- The above is to make the GUI fast but failure of GUI components leads to system unstability
- Issues of Portability: Since the GUI is built into the core of the Operating System, the Graphics is tightly coupled with the underlying hardware.
- Proprietary Formats for Multimedia: Does not allow wide deployment of Uniform, Cross Platform Standards, hampers progress.. e.g Real Music Format, Windows Media etc.
