When is Jini not appropriate
- As Java appears on more and more devices and computers, and as more
and more of our devices and software systems connected to each other, Jini
becomes a logical solution for managing this interconnectivity.
- There are a few factors that might argue against the cost of adding
Jini to a device:
- 1. If your device is truly isolated, meaning there isn’t even a
wire going to it, or is fundamentally uninteresting that no one would want
to use it over the network.
- 2. If your device is unlikely to be near any device with a JVM, and
needs to be so cheap that it cannot have a JVM embedded on it.
