The main characteristic of all methods and
techniques of adaptive hypermedia is the applied technology of adaptation
which are different from a "what can be adapted" point of view: adaptive text
presentation, direct guidance, adaptive sorting, hiding, and annotation of
links, adaptive multimedia presentation, and map adaptation.
