The in-vehicle view displays:

• a map of the crossings, and a color coded indication of the track occupancies
• the current direction of the train
• each crossing's Estimated Delay Time
• and each crossing's Estimated Time Before Block

The desktop view, which is delivered to full size computer displays shows the same information formatted to maximize display usage on those devices. This can be demostrated using Internet Explorer.

The handheld view displays (all in text form due to limited screen size):

• each crossing's Estimated Delay Time
• and each crossing's Estimated Time Before Block

The handheld does not automatically update the information due to the bandwidth limitations of wireless handhelds, and considerations due to airtime. A refresh button is still provided for the users to get updated information from the system easily. An additional consideration for not automatically updating the rail traffic information is that the users of wireless handhelds are not expected to be involve with some other safety critical activity, such as driving. A member of an ambulance crew, other than the driver would be operating the handheld unit, and providing this information to the driver.
