Navigational Design

• An application is seen as a navigational view over the conceptual model
• Different navigational models may be built for the same conceptual schema thus expressing different views on the same domain
• Implement according to the corresponding user’s profile
• Pre-defined types of navigational classes:
    – Nodes
    – Links
    – Anchors
    – Access structures
• The navigational schema is similar to the previous one
    – Built from classes(nodes and indexes) and relationships(links)
    – Reflect the kind of navigation paths a particular kind of user may traverse
    – Nodes and links may appear explicitly or not
