Basic Serialization Syntax

• The RDF element marks the boundaries for the RDF data model instance (optional if there is a whole RDF file)

• The description element allows the resource name to be given for several elements

  • The about attribute specifies the URI

• Within a propertyElt, the resource attribute specifies that some other resource is the value of this property

• Property names must be associated with a schema

  • This is done by qualifying the element names with a namespace prefix or by declaring a default namespace
