The members of the requirement team meet with the members of the client organization till they are convinced that they have elicited all the relevant information from the client.
The basic types of interviews are :
structured interview
unstructured interview
In the structured interview, specific, preplanned, close ended questions are posed.
For example the client might be asked how many salespeople the company employs or how fast the response time is required.
In unstructured interview, open ended questions are asked, to encourage the person being interviewed to speak out.
For instance, asking the client, "why is the product unsatisfactory?", may explain many aspects of the clients approach to business.
Therefore, question should be posed in such a way, so as to encourage the person being interviewed to give wide ranging answeres, but within the Context of the information needed by the interviewer.
