When people began to discuss how to implement a system, based on Biddle at al’s observation, many of them are reluctant to use CRC cards. Instead, they wanted to record whole arrangements in their own notes, for later reference.
Some people wanted to record alternative arrangements for later study.
Where a white-board of flip-chart was available, many people preferred to use it to record possible class arrangements instead of using the card.
All these motivations are perfectly understandable. It is much easier to record alternatives and thoughts in some sheets freely than using formal CRC Cards.
CRC cards are better to be used as a phase conclusion of discussion. For example, after all members get agreed with the final class’s arrangement, they may want to use CRC cards to record the whole arrangement.
Therefore, CRC cards are better to be used as formal recorder to record the final arrangement of classes than be used at the beginning of the discussion.
