The first benefit of CRC is that having cards represent classes facilitates discussion of the static structure of the system.

However, Biddle et al observed people generally wanted to record whole arrangements in their own notes. Then they converted the notes to the cards later. Finally, Biddle et al found the benefit of this way and accept it.
