Conclusion
The development process of multimedia applications should consider
all the phases of the traditional software engineering instead of just restricting
to the implementation part.
Good modelling phase for analysis and design are required for error free
implementation.
Objcet oriented modelling Language (UML)has become the defacto
standard for the traditional software development from the early stages of requirements to
detailed design.
Several extensions have been made to this UML to use it for multimedia
software applications also.
But these modelling approaches have to show their feasibility in
real world applications.
Prototype implementation of support tools extending Rational Rose are required.
