Conclusions
A multimedia data streams model is proposed for
efficiently handling continuous multimedia queries.
Based on the model, guaranteed bounds on output rate,
maximum number of supported streams, and maximum
number of possible queries can be computed.
Based upon multimedia functional dependency theory, the
continuous multimedia queries can be optimized with
respect to the multimedia data streams model.
We are working on (a) the optimization algorithms for m-CQs utilizing
multimedia functional dependency theory,
and (b) the two `multimedia tool boxes` for m-CQ processing.
