The data from the sensors must be merged to produce a coherent response to user queries. However given that each sensor is contributing incomplete and potentially conflicting information, it is likely that the system's response will still contain an element of uncertainty. This motivates the need for a system that can effectively display potentially ambiguous results to the viewer in a meaningful way. While the viewer is interacting with such a display, it also makes sense for the system to interpret the viewer's actions in an attempt to resolve some of the uncertainty and adjust the presentation to reflect the clearer focus.

The viewer can give an initial query, and interact with the system to observe morphed queries and retrieval results.
