RESEARCH:

  • Computer Science Department, University of Pittsburgh, Aug, 2000 – present : Participate in the Power Aware Real-Time Systems (PARTS) project founded by DARPA. Focus on energy and reliability management for parallel real-time systems. Proposed an optimal scheduling algorithm for parallel periodic real-time systems and several schemes to management energy consumption as well as reliability in parallel and distributed systems. 

  • Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tshinghua University, P.R.China, Sep. 1996 -- Jun, 1999: Participated in the 863 robot project. Focused on design and implementation of the system controller. Designed the control system architecture and implemented the control algorithms.

TEACHING:

  • Computer Science Department, University of Pittsburgh, Aug. 1999 -- Aug. 2000: Teaching Assistant for "Introduction to Computer Architecture" and "Programming Language". Duties include preparing homework, grading and holding office hours.  

  • Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tshinghua University, P.R.China, Jun. 1997 -- Sep, 1997: Teaching assistant for "Digital circuit design and implementation". Conducted the lab and evaluated the students' implementations.
