The midterm exam will cover the material covered in lecture through Tues Oct 14. This includes assignments 1-3 (the TA will go over Assignment 3 on Oct 14); and the lecture notes on the schedule through chapter9.ppt, page 30. The wrapup slides in the lecture notes identify the specific sections of the text you are responsible for. See the syllabus for a description of the types of questions.
