I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pittsburgh. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I was advised by Prof. Prashant Shenoy. Before joining UMass, I was a research associate at Tata Research Development and Design Center. I completed my Masters from Chennai Mathematical Institute and my Bachelors from St. Stephens College, Delhi.
My research interests lie broadly in the area of distributed systems and cyber-physical systems (CPS), with an emphasis on sustainability. My work involves using principled approaches from distributed systems, machine learning, and optimization to optimize for energy efficiency, dependability of systems, and costs.
