I was a Research Intern at Technicolor Lab, Palo Alto, CA, where I developed a new Bandit Algorithm for graphs to be applied in recommender systems as well as online advertisement. My mentors were Branislav Kveton and Udi Weinsberg.

Microsoft Research, Redmond WA

I was a Research Intern at Machine Learning and Applied Statistics (MLAS) group at Microsoft Research lab, Redmond, WA. At MSR, I developed and implemented a fast mode-seeking clustering framework for non- Euclidean spaces. My mentor was Bo Thiesson.

Intel Labs Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA
I was a Summer Research Fellow at Intel Labs Pittsburgh during summers 2009 and 2010:

I was a member of R&D team at iVisioTech Co. In particular, I designed and developed fast image and video processing algorithms for a real-time visual surveillance system.

In Biomedical Language Understanding (BLU) Lab, I developed structure discovery methods to deal with temporality in medical texts. I was supervised by Dr. Wendy Chapman.

I was part of the development team for GeNIe & SMILE project at Decision Systems Lab (DSL). In particular, I designed and developed the structure learning module for Bayesian Networks. I was supervised by Dr. Marek Druzdzel.
