CS 1573 – Submission Policies

 

 

1.       All the files should be compressed in one file with the following format:

CS1573-[Homework##| Project##]-<Last name><Given Name>.zip or

CS1573-[Homework##| Project##]-<Last name><Given Name>.tar

 

For example: if the student John Smith sends his first homework, his file should be called:

CS1573-Homework01-SmithJohn.zip

 

2.       You should include a README file that may contain:

-          Instructions on how to run your programs, including the command lines to start your programs and anything non-obvious about the user interface.

-          Explain anything that does not completely work. Suggest a testing method that shows what does work to receive partial credit.

-          Anything additional comments you consider helpful for evaluating your programs.

 

3.       Only include the source code of all your programs (i.e. for java programs, do not include “.class” archives, only send the “.java” files.

 

4.       Send the files to the following address:

bem11@pitt.edu

With the same subject as the name of the file.

 

5.       In case of mistake, you may resend the email ONLY ONCE MORE adding the number of the version as “v2” to the name of both file and subject (example: CS1573-Homework01-SmithJohn-v2.zip) and only until the deadline time.

 

6.       The deadline time is the due date, before the class starts(14:30). Emails should be sent until the deadline’s time.

 

7.       Email time stamp will be used to determine the date and time of assignment submission.
